This product was a disappointment to me. When I buy a product that prides itself on being made of metal, I expect that the gear that really matters most is really metal and not plastic. It's for about a year of occasional use before the gears come off, which you can't get anywhere for possible repair. It's just as rubbish as the cheapest plastic rubbish you don't expect serious longevity from.
Plastic gear with low lifetime.

Sturdy, sits well on the counter, not too big and has a tray for chopped food and crumbs. Just empty it and it's cleaned up.
A serrated knife may be good for soft bread, but it cut everything diagonally for me. I guess I can't do it - with a straight knife, all the slices are one like the other 😀 ♪
