A key attribute is the UPS run time. This is governed by the energy consumption – for example, at half-load (50%), the battery backup time lasts much longer. The load of the backup source governs the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 60 min and at half the energy consumption, it is 210 min. It is therefore necessary to determine the energy consumption of the connected computers, monitors and other electronics and it is best to have a bit of energy extra left. The CyberPower CPS600E measures the apparent power as 600, but in reality, the actual power usage is 420 W.
