We would not wish it on our worst enemy. A power outage just before you wanted to save your work. Your document has disappeared, and you have to start again from nothing. Such uncomfortable (to put it mildly) situations can be forestalled by the CyberPower VP1200EILCD UPS. In principle, this hardware is just a premium battery backup that provides power for all types of computers and devices that need electricity to function. The CyberPower VP1200EILCD UPS uses the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is classified as the most basic form in case of a outage, since it connects to the battery and disconnects from the mains power. The line interactive UPS also adds data line surge suppression to guard against dangerous surges travelling along data lines.
A key parameter is the backup time. This is governed by the power consumption of the connected electronics – for example, at half-load (50%), the run time will last a longer amount of time. The load of the UPS governs the operating time, which at full load (100%) is 4 min and at half the energy consumption, it is 12 min. It is therefore crucial to determine the energy consumption of the connected electronics and it is best to add some spare power left. The CyberPower VP1200EILCD measures the apparent power as 1200, but with realistic use, the actual usage matches the value of 720 W.
