Latte Macchiato

A latte macchiato is a variation on the traditional latte drink. Prepared in a tall glass, a latte macchiato consists of 200ml of frothed milk, 30ml of espresso, and a further upper layer of frothed milk. Unlike normal lattes, the espresso is added at the end, giving the milk a coffee-stained colouring.

The correct pronunciation is [ˈlatte makˈkjaːto].
