AXAGON ADID-70

The AXAGON ADID-70 universal adapter is designed to let you quickly and easily connect an IDE or SATA device to a computer via standard USB 2.0 interface. You can connect both a 3.5"or a 2.5" hard drive and a 5.25" optical drive directly to your computer, allowing you to simultaneously connect two IDE devices or one IDE and one SATA device. The power supply unit  includes a handy cable splitter for powering SATA and IDE devices simultaneously, as well as a power switch for disks without the need to disconnect cables.

The adapter not only provides 100% reliable data transfers in all configurations, but also adds One Touch Backup, which, in conjunction with backup software, allows you to back up your data simply by pressing a single button on the adapter. The USB to SATA/IDE converter is therefore a very versatile tool for testing, installing, backing up, and copying data.

The adapter includes the following interfaces:
USB 2.0 port with mini B female connector (female), includes a mini B-M / A-M USB cable, length 80cm.
40-pin standard IDE connector for direct connection of 3.5" IDE drives and 5.25" ATAPI drive to the adapter.
44-pin standard IDE connector for direct connection of 2.5" laptop IDEs to the adapter.
Data SATA connector, includes a 10cm SATA cable with a SATA connector equipped with a lock that prevents accidental unplugging of the drive connector from the drive.

Power supply:
The adapter is powered via the USB bus, when connected to a 2.5" IDE drive, no external power is required for the drive.
External AC adapter for powering 5.25" drive, 3.5" drives, and 2.5" SATA drives.
Power adapter parameters: Input 100-240V - 50/60Hz, Output 5V - 2A / 12V - 2A.
The power adapter includes a bifurcated "Y" cable with terminals for direct concurrent supply of SATA and IDE devices.
The power "Y" cable contains a common power switch for the SATA and IDE devices, the LED indicates the ON status.

One Touch Backup feature:
allows you to back up your data from a PC simply by pressing one button on the adapter. After installing the application (downloadable at www.axago.cz), you can define any directories for backup at the first startup and then just press the button to back up the data to the connected disk.

Note: Drivers are included with supported operating systems and are installed completely automatically. No other drivers need to be installed and are not even available. For MS Windows 98SE/ME you need to install the drivers manually (download at www.axago.cz).
